Password Strength (Digital Digest)

Choosing a strong password for Digital Digest, or for any login, is very important. On Digital Digest, a "Password Strength" meter is provided to help you choose a strong password. The password strength is determined by the following factors:

  • The length of the password (minimum length is 6 characters, recommended length is 8 or more characters)
  • The use of both lower and upper case characters (eg. "abcdefg" is not as strong as "ABcdEFg")
  • The use of at least one number in the sequence
  • The use of at least one special character in the sequence (eg. "abcdefg" is not as strong as "abcdef$")
  • Do not use common words or phrases
